I have to laugh at all the crap that just keeps happening. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. I mean crap literally. I have had chronic diarrhea for 3 months. The good news is acidophollis pills helps so much but it still happens. I was finally diagnosed with IBS today. We are still waiting for some blood work and some stool samples to come back, but if all are ok he will stick to the IBS diagnosis. I bet most of you can relate to this diagnosis. SInce my Fibro diagnosis it's been like a snowball affect of other problems. It just keeps happening. I just have to sit back and laugh. Well I know deep down it's really not funny, but I can't help it cause I think ok what's next. I'm ready for it. The doctor just told me to continue to take the acidophollis pills and start taking fiber every day. Hopefully that will help even more. What works for you all?

" LovelyApril,

Amongst my long list of ailments I too have IBS. My Gastro. has me on Miralax which you can buy over the counter. The Miralax has seemed to help me but I tend to go from one extreme to the other diarreha to constipation.

Run Miralax idea past your Doctor...maybe it would help. It has helped my daughter who although she doesn't have Fibro does have the tendency to get diarreha.

Take care sweetie, hope the Doctor gets everting figured out for your soon and you are feeling better. "

" I have IBS too....but I tend to be constipated most of the time...which thankfully hasn't been too bad...but sometimes when I do go, I need a helmet and a seat belt and just hold on for dear life.

I don't take anything....I just keep bottled water in the bathroom and "ride" it out. *shrugs* "

" ahhh yes the plethera of dx.... so much fun... what I love most about the fibro and he dx's is when you get some say weird rash and they cant figure out what caused it or how to cure it and then one day 6 months later it disappears... for no appearent reason despite your attempts to fix it... (yes that actually happened to me)

Gotta love fibro "

" Hi, You all get wierd rashes too? I got a wierd rash a year ago, (no, it is no longer active, dont panic) but I thought it was scabies, due t o my immune system down, mom had stroke, riding on plane seat long time, spent night in hosp, etc..It was horrrible deep itching into my back. Then it went into abd, shoulders, chest, and lower legs. I did scabies tx, antibiotics, steroids, every possible tx. It stayed, so itcy and scarring deep and red. It would ulcerate and bleed if I just touched it. For the last 5 mos or so, the scars are slowly fading, very slowly (sign of my immune sx) but no new lesions...Wierdest thing.... I could not believe the itch, and then the bleeding like I was on Coumadin! It has to be something with the fibro, if you get lesions in your body, why not on your skin too? "

" actually the rash last year was the 4th in my history. All 4 rashes were very different and none of them were dx'ed and docs scratched thier heads in amazement. They tried everything nothing seemed to help then one day they just started going away.... the last was by far the worst it lasted 6 months it hurt it itched and it left scars.

I am just amazed how the doctors dont even remotely think these rashes could have anything to do with the fibro.... I mean how could we all have similar situations and symptoms andyet all be told they arent related??? Last I checked I am one person and I am sure tht all my symptoms someday will be linked.... to one thing.... "

" Oh man I thought I was allergic to everything again. I've had allergies since I was a kid, but lately, rashes and itching. Did not know that was a fibro thing. I did pick up ringworm about 5 months ago, no reason. And my pets did not get it. It took forever to get rid of and I cannot for the life of me figure out how I got it. Its so attractive, was really sad it went (NOT)

I do get the dia, and const. It is really hard when you take additional meds that add to that. When I take antibiotics and diabestes med, I sometimes take a antidia pill with them. OH and you think you got it bad, I use a walker in the house and often lol I get a hitch in my getalong! So lol be glad you do not have that! I actually hate the pain of the IBS, cramping. "

" IBS is what they say when they can't exactly pinpoint the problem. The dx now makes you eligible for drugs that probably won't work but will allow big Pharma the opportunity to take more money from you.

You might have a diagnosis, but what are you going to do?

Probiotics can help IBS. I recently heard of something called Kefir that's supposed to work really well - it has probiotics, etc... and will rid your body of candida albicans.

It's a yogurt kind of thing. If you look on Youtube or google, you'll find a lot of good videos on how to make your own as well as complete information.

You first have to get hold of some grains to get started but there's a network of users that will share their grains. I've got a few users in my area that I'm hitting up.
