Hi there,
I was dignosed with fibro a year ago offically and I went to this second Neroolgist and he re diagnosed me with fibro but thats no the point where i am getting at.
Anyways, Here is my point, he did the pressure points and I responded in pain like I expected.
I asked why I am tender in thoose spots and what couses. I was not pre- pared to what he said and still cant get my head around it. He said it's all soft tissue an the places I hurt got damage some how by falling or what not. Also, my body does not heal, it blows my mind because I am still in denial and I want some one to tell me how can a body not heal from damaged.
I accepted the fact that i am in denial and I am not comming to relization that my body can't heal for some odd reason. I just want some one to tell me if it's normal because in my eyes its not normal.
Also, has it ever happend to you and i want some to snap me back in reality.

thanks for listening.

" i understand that without deep, stage 4, rem sleep we suffer. and that healthy people would feel like us if they couldn't get restorative sleep either. just take a few days without sleep and people fall apart. for many of us it has been that way for decades. by the by, i've been sick for more than 25 years and still deny it sometimes. it's hard to admit. it's hard to live with it. i do the best i can to be healthy and still i don't feel well. i have good drs, good sleep therapy, a psychologist, a good family, supportive people, and massages, i take xyrem for sleep. this causes my body to make more hgh while the body would normally. this has helped me recover somewhat. not bedridden anymore. using xyrem for 3+years. but still i am not well. now i'm hoping they'll find this retrovirus and treatment for it. it's natural to deny our situations. they're not good. but-----there is more research going on now than ever before and i think we should be hopeful. hoping you get better sleep. glad you write here to us. " I'm sorry, that was probably too harsh. It just upsets me to see you get misinformed.

This illness is very sucky but once you work it out, you CAN have some sort of a life. And there's ALWAYS the hope of a cure, like Abot said.

Even if XMRV isn't THE thing, a fire has been lit. "

" I doubt it was injuries, as it is kind of hard for how many thousands of us to injure ourselves at the same sites. But if you take a body builder for example, your muscles increase in size because you cause minute tears in them which heal. Any exercise does this to some lesser extent . Our bodies dont heal the way the rest of the world does. It can take much much longer to heal for us. apparently something in the chemical reactions in our bodies is ... broken? would that fit? I know that nine or ten years ago if I got a cut, it would heal with no problem. now if I walk six blocks (when I could...) i am unable to do much for two days. it takes alot longer for my body to heal now. broken arm this past year took seven months to heal... that was fun... NOT. But it is true that they are actually doing research now, and doctors actually recognize it. much better than being told its all in your head... yeah i had a doctor tell me that six months into the pain, and i have only been diagnosed for just over 2 years. there are medications that help somewhat now which there were not years ago. As for the sleep ... I think the last truly good nights sleep I got on my own with nothing to help was ten years ago.... "
