Hello My Friends,

Today is November 6, 2009 and it is a long title day on the calendar, Ready?....

--It is International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict

no kidding, someone actually thought that this is a good title for a day to put on a calendar....I have to admit though, that as I read the title of this day, many thoughts ran through my head....like the Environment? really? ????does this include the animals (Rowandan Gorillas, Angola Chimps) or the children (landmines, kidnapping, giving them guns and making them soldiers) or the villages destroyed or vast countrysides set afire with napalm (Cambodia)....Couldn't this observance just be called International Day for Preventing War and Armed Conflict?...I am telling myself that the word Environment means all of these things....or else I don't want to know the truth

Pumpkin Chunkin Day......shouldn't that be chucking? what does chunkin mean? Anyway, I hope the more "Playful" teenagers in my neighborhood do not know about today......
[sneaking up on tip-toe behind you...soft pumpkins in hands....I am 3 feet behind and closing in on you....toss toss.....pumpkin is all over your face and hair...."Gotcha", I giggle as I run away]

Now, I want you to go to your filing cabinet and get out the "2nd Edition: Volume 52, of "D is the Most Special Girl that I Know". I have a new entry for you.....I will wait a moment, while you get it......book open and pen in hand?....Okay now onto "special" me.

Yesterday, I was energized and a woman on a mission. I don't know where the energy came from, but I loved it. I cleaned my house, cleaned one of the gardens in my yard, cleaned out my garage (it has not been really cleaned since the "Killer Mouse from Outer Space" fiasco last year), stripped beds, did laundry, walked the dog, made a fantastic dinner, took apart, cleaned and reassembled my son's fan, and did all the normal Domestic goddess things that I normally do. Yea for me. I was loving it....felt like my old self again....wondering what I did that day to make me feel so good...life was great....the world was turning and I was it's queen......Then...[cue dramatic music...da da daaaaaaaaaaaa]

4PM rolled around, I showered and sat down to read a bit before dinner was ready....and....somehow....don't know how....don't know why.....don't know when....my right leg and knee began to hurt....."no big deal...it will pass or move on to another part of my body",,,,,
[cue music again...Da Da Daaaaaaaaaaaaaa}.....the night went on, the pain increased....the knee began to swell.....by 8PM it was obvious that I had Sprained my Knee....feels like it is broken or twisted or sprained or something or other....so braces for me today....and tomorrow I may be dancing the jig.....I will keep you posted on the strange and bizarre happenings inside....[dramatic music...da da daaaaaaaaaaa] The Body of D .[horror movie woman's scream is heard throughout the land]

Yes ladies and gents, I have told you how very "Special" I am....add this little saga to your annals of "D is the Most Special Girl I Know".
