I had an old friend pass away this week, so other past friends on Facebook were posting thoughts, condolences, adding me to give me funeral info etc. I started glancing through a few of the guy's photos and they all look GREAT! I gained 130lbs, have horrible acne, breast reduction, gone grey, wrinkly, hairy and lumpy. I know, I know, my husband loves me for me but still...WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? I used to be this fun loving, lively, bodybuilder and dancer and now... ugh.
I had one "okay" photo of me on Facebook and after reviewing all of their's decided to take it back OFF. I'm so embarrassed. I believe their photos are current as they look about the same age as me, with their kids about the same age as mine, so know it's not just "an old photo" of them. They also posted school reunion photos a couple of years ago and there was not one really fat person there. I do realize that I'm better off than my classmate (btw, was my first huge crush and my first real kiss) as he is dead and I'm not. The real funny thing is that I would NEVER go to a school reunion or even meet up with anyone from school as I'm too embarrassed of my weight. I'd be the one they'd talk about "ooh, look at her, she's just let herself go and she looks so old!" LOL I'm depressed and sad. This freakin' fibro and chronic pain is the reason but I LET it win. Well, no more. As of today, I'm on a diet and going to start exercising at a pool. It will be easy as the guys will be away for 5 weeks and my mom is on Herbal Magic. I HATE to stop looking...on one guy friend's photos alone are of him and his wife (super sexy and pretty) having a "foam party", her relaxing in her bikini (she's my age) on the pool, then camping, photos of Italy and Lake Tahoe.

I just recently went to a homecoming party with a bunch of people I went to high school with. I'm so fat right now but went anyways. I decided to ignore the fact that I'm this huge giant woman. I had a great time, seeing all my old buddies - people I spent 6-8 hours per day with for 13 years.
Some looked fabulous, some were fat, some were missing a boob or two (mastectomy) and many were missing their hair (women, too!) But we had so much fun, just remembering and catching up. I'm glad I went. I had a great time despite the 4 inches of added height and the 110 additional pounds - since high school. I'm even missing a tooth (something that I'm extremely self conscious about) but I managed to keep the gap out of any pictures. I'll support you in your plan to loose weight, but I'll love you no matter how you end up. I suspect your old chums feel the same way.

Awww .. I know how ya feel. so far I dont look too bad.. or could be worse.. lol. but man i sure have to push and work at staying as young looking as i can.. and fibro steals and sucks the life out of all of us..
no sleep.. so bags. and dragging around like a turtle... im up still at 2:30 am. my legs are not happy.. rls i beleive.. so.. chin up dear. its not what is on the outside.. its what is in your inside.. and good caring heart that matters... believe that... I have days where I get so down in the dumps. so much I want to do and cant,... its super frustrating... I push and push. to get things done.. and sometimes just lay here and cry.. not much else to do... a big hug from me to you hun.. hang in there .. :)

I feel the same way. I think I'll get a T shirt that says "I didn't let myself go I got sick Hope you don't get sick" I hate this illness and all the meds they gave me that only made things worse.

I had my 10 year reunion last year and there's no way I would have gone, even if I could have. I was the kid that knew what they were going to do back in 8th grade....I was ready for college in 10th. And now? Still haven't gotten one degree and I work in a retail job where I'm constantly in fear of getting fired because everyone thinks I'm an idiot.

Ya know...I get a shock most Everytime I Look in a Mirror...WHO the "H" IS that ???
I allowed my hair to go "Natural"...spending big dollars & Hours inhaling chemicals was No longer For me.. I have put on over 70 pounds...managed to get 30 of that back off...but in some of my Pics I am Shocked !! When ur standing there...talking to someone...what ya Look like just Really does Not enter ur Brain...{Thank God} The otherday while at the Healthfood store...the lady asked "Do you Belong to the "59 Club"...Ummm Ya gotta Bee 59 to Join ?? cuz I still have about 15 YEARS !! {BITCH !!}.. I Look at clothes I wore just 5 SHORT years ago...yea...NOT Happening !! No Worries...I think your One of the Most Beautiful Women I Know !!

You are missing one very important thing here, I think. You may be chunky or fat or tired or any of the other things that you said above, BUT you are not out. You could very well let the depression about this situation take hold of you, curl up into a ball in the corner and suck your thumb. BUT you are not doing that. You have decided that you are going to do something to make you feel better about you. This is FANTASTIC. I say Kudos to you Care! You go girl! We are all here rooting for you. You do whatever you want or need to do to make you feel better about you. And I really have to add here....I know this sounds like platitudes, but I think you are an Awesome person. I don't know what you look like, and frankly, I don't need to. All I know is that you are a Caring, Loving, Supportive, Intelligent, Wonderful person. That is all I need to know to KNOW that you are Fantastic.
