When I was first diagnosed with fibro, I was used to the physical pain, muscle spasms, etc. I am single and what has caught me by surprise and stresses me out to no end is all of the past due fees or extra fees I end up paying. I have my groceries delivered from time to time, so that's an extra $6-$7...even though I'm only about 5 minutes away from the grocery store.

Re: the past due fees, I was in a bad flare for about 4 wks. I knew I had to get books back to the library, but I absolutely couldn't do it...so I had to pay a fine at the library. Even worse is that I mistakenly let my insurance lapse and had to pay a $150 fee. It is just so frustrating!! It really had me questioning my own ability to manage my life. Fibro...the cruel gift that keeps on giving.

" There are many times I wish I had an assistant that could organize everything and make sure it gets done. My wonderful man is useless when it comes to paperwork or anything like that..except he does well at faxing and filling out dr forms lol.

I have recently began doing several things to improve this part of my life. I got a consolidated debt counseling to take over all my credit card payments..whew that was a hard one to let go of but once I did I dont have late fees anymore and no more payments in another year. I set up a budget book and have a list of everything that needs to be paid, sometimes with dates or amounts..whatever I need to make it easier. It always is out where I can see it. I keep a calendar with apts excetra. And I always list everything I need to do and by when. If I dont I am useless because I cannot count on my memory to help. I lose words so easily too, in conversation, sounds like I have alziemers or something. So I have learned to do charades lol and laugh.
As far as things that need to be done and I know its going to be stressful, I make sure my due dates are always a few days prior to when it needs to be done. I always give myself, for bigger projects, more time to get it done.

Oh and I dont know bout anyone else but going thru the mail is really hard on me. Thats been the most difficult for me.
Its taken me 6 years to get to this point but its working. "

" I forgot to add all of the money I've paid for all of the meds that either made things worse or didn't help at all. "
