Another Symptom of Fibro-$$$

When I was first diagnosed with fibro, I was used to the physical pain, muscle spasms, etc. I am single and what has caught me by surprise and stresses me out to no end is all of the past due fees or extra fees I end up paying. I have my groceries delivered from time to time, so that's an extra $6-$7...even though I'm only about 5 minutes away from the grocery store.

Re: the past due fees, I was in a bad flare for about 4 wks. I knew I had to get books back to the library, but I absolutely couldn't do it...so I had to pay a fine at the library. Even worse is that I mistakenly let my insurance lapse and had to pay a $150 fee. It is just so frustrating!! It really had me questioning my own ability to manage my life. Fibro...the cruel gift that keeps on giving.

" Yes, I'm freaking out that I won't get the bills paid on time and then get hit with all these late fees. In fact right before I read this, I had pulled down my bill box and pulled out everything that needs to be paid soon so I can hopefully get them all out of my face and brain for another month.

I have a family but I also have my groceries delivered. It's so much easier than standing in line after being in the store for at least an hour. The extra fee there is worth it to me. "

" There is no telling how much i.ve cost myself due to this same thing with me...I get so sick and in sooo much pain i dont care for that minute and then when i see the dollars i cost us, i'm sick with the waste ....so when i can i try to call and keep cost down .Now several Doc.s make u sign a paper if you don't call within 24 hours for a cancelation or a no show they will charge you 20-25 dollars anyway. There are days when I wake up that I'm in so much pain, I can't keep my appts. "

" ahh yes... definantly a symptom of fibro. I used to have my groceries delived as well but I think most of the stores have stopped doing this service. Now I go only when I have some one at home to put them away, an I use an electric cart to get around the store, and I take my daughter so she can help get stuff off the shelf, and then I make a bag person help me to the car... its the only way I can manage to shop.

As for the late fees I forget to pay the bills a lot too. But the fee that gets me mor eis the missed medical apts fee. I remember I have an apt until a mere hours prior to my apthen I forget i have it until a couple hours AFTER the apt. OR I wake u inthe morning and cant muster the strengh or energy to get out of bed to go to my apts. so I haveto cancel them to late and they charge me the fee for late cancelations.... "

" Well, I just paid all my Kaiser bills online for the whole family and when I was done, I couldn't remember if I changed the amount on my husband's online bill. His charge is $66 but online they say it's $132 so I always have to change it to $66. But, I just took 3 Tranxene muscle relaxers to get rid of a knot in my back and I can't remember if I changed the amount to $66 or not. Ok, sorry but I feel like I'm going nuts and when I get back into the website it just asks if I want to pay again.....(sigh) "

" I wish my hubby would take over the bills. H gets mad when I screw them up yet wont take them over (I think its lazyness) besides I have been in control of the mone for so long I dunno if I could actually give it up. I have gotten very good at juggling bills and making pament arrangements.the last tiem I left him in control of making a payment arrangement we screwed our selves. I wanted him to make like a 200$ payment and then monthly pyments of like 450$. h made arrangements to make 450$ paymen followed by 450$ every two weeks.... god only knows what he was thinking I was so mad and they wouldnt budge on the arrangement "

" BugBite, my hubby won't do the bills either. We both have brain fog which makes it really hard but somehow I'M the one that gets all the blame. I told him that all our bills are online and if you ever want to know what we owe/pay and to whom, get on the computer.

I've had to pay extra library fees, bank fees, got a warning on my Reflexology lady to not cancel the same day or I'll be charged (got called to work), extra interest etc. I've also forgot things and had to go back to stores a few times.

I live 20 mins from the nearest grocery store so don't think they'll deliver but it would sure be nice. I think we ALL should get this service along with daily cleaning people and massage therapy! "
