This computer at the library is doing real funky things. Anyway my case got denied again after my court date in April. I found out it got denied again in the summer of this yr. So now my case goes before an Appeals Council, and they think its a great idea to drag it out another 18 to 24 months. I also recently got the reports back from the gvt so called doctors, in which they basically said in professional terms that I am a liar.
The so called judge said that the braces for my body were not prescribed. WTF since when do docs prescribe braces, that is done usually through physical therapy and if they deem it necessary. Idiot. He also claimed that since I live in HUD housing, I am "motivated" to file for disability. I never knew that being broke has anything whatsoever to do with a person filing for disability. He also said that despite me having pain for 20 yrs, since I completed my EMT training I was able to work. According to the genius, also, he said I could sit for five hours and life 20 lbs daily. Oh really? Now hes Medical Miss Cleo. I am not sure where he got that information from. I am taking chances by lifting my heavy water jug which is 2.5 lbs but it sure feels heavier than that. However, my lawyer is attacking his dumbass from all angles by stating regardless of me having braces not prescribed, I NEED them DUH!!!!! They also stated that me going for a career despite my pain, proves credibility. Btw my pain escalated once I tested for my state exams. Since WE are intelligent, we know that stress increases our pain levels. Once I started my career, my pain went through the roof, particularly after my state exams. My lawyer also rebutted other idiotic comments made on the gvt doctor and gvt shrink who are being paid to screw you. Despite them pretending to be your best friend when you go see them. I like the comment my lawyers office made about the ALJ (judge) in reference to his findings being "irrational." You darn skippy, him and his cronies are trying very hard to nail me...but honey this aint over till its over. I also find out recently, that a friend of a friend who works with disability in the state of Missouri also, he told her that my chiropractor's notes were not even taken seriously when I went to court. She just stared at him like what??? Apparently whatever part of Missouri she is in, their office DOES take that seriously. I know that SSD acts as if chiropractors are not "real" doctors, despite being issued a license by the STATE to practice their field. The supreme idiocy revolving around this entire fiasco just makes you want to scream. As I said, it aint over till it's over. I'm sorry you have to go through all of this drama, I will definitely keep you in prayer. It's a shame that those of us who really need disability have to jump through hoops to get what we need and are entitled to. I got denied short term disability through my employer, so I'm really anxious about going for SSDI. Anyway, keep your head up. I hope this is resolved in your favor very soon.

Thanks for the support ladies, one of the ladys at the library who works there has MS she said this is what I get to look forward to when I get so incapacitated that I can no longer work. I am like, YUP. Unless she is one of the rare ppl who get it right out the gate.

I too am sorry for the process you are going through. I applaud anyone who applies for disability, I do no think I could go through the process. I am curious, are you just applying on the FM? It is my understanding that having FM is not enough to receive disability. Hang in there, we are pulling for you.

I'm sorry Necie, It makes me so mad to hear stuff like that. Why do some people get disability so easily when they hurt their back or something, but we are hurting for years and years and they make it sound like it's our fault or we made it up.
Don't get me started........ At least it sounds like you have an attorney that is fighting for you. Mine was horrible and I don't think she even believed FM was a real condition. If this XMRV plays out in the next year then it will be fun to see them all eat their ugly thoughts and words. Keep fighting the good fight and DON'T give up.

Thanks ladies, yes I have an attorney but the judge was being and still is being super nasty, what a prick. But its all good my lawyer is proving that he was irresponsible and irrational on so many levels. He even conveniently canceled the CAT scan that with the setting called "bone window" they can see how the vertebrae are all compressed together. He let that fall to the wayside.
I tell ya, ppl who deliberatly decide to be prostitutes for the gvt will all have to deal with what they have done to others. I call them prostitutes for the gvt bec they get paid to screw you. YUP exactly what a hooker does. I deal with his stupid ass comments every single day but I try not to think about it. I try to keep my brain occupied with other things so I dont drive myself crazy with all the hatred. How you get penalized for losing your health is beyond me. It will all pan out though in the end, I have wonderful and super supportive friends and I dont know where I would be without them, including you guys. Much love to you all.
