So I was in Vegas last week and one morning forgot to take my Cymbalta and vitamins. We were away from our hotel room (ie, downtown Vegas and we were staying at Manadalay Bay--only the furthest hotel possible from downtown). All was going pretty well, then all of the sudden I was super anxious and the neck pain started flaring and I was just exhausted beyond belief. I managed to continue playing in the poker tourney the best I could until I was out. On the cab ride home the cabbie was insane!!! I was so nauseous by the time we got out of the cab my poor boyfriend basically had to carry me to the room. I had a horrendous night though once my sleeping aids kicked in I was passed out. Took my pills in the morning and was ok that day.

Valuable lesson learned....ALWAYS take your meds!!!!

" my goodness! DR is right about the withdrawals, you are so lucky you didn't have any! when i was on cymbalta if i was even LATE i had w/ds, especially now that i've recently quit that stuff.

anyways, i'm glad that cymbalta actually helps you! make sure you stay on top of it!

speaking of, i leave for ST luis thurs night and i already packed up all the meds he he he... definitely won't miss any, they are all in those small portable pill containers. "

" The funny thing is that I was actually smart about taking my pills....put them in those daily pill things. I just flat out forgot to take them that morning. Maybe because I had been feeling so good it didnt dawn on me? I dont know. I had passed up the little pill thingy several times in the morning before going out.

I think part of it is that I am only on 30mgs so maybe that is why it has never happened before? Who knows....I am not going to risk trying it again!! "

" You are lucky. I cannot take any anti depressants. Zoloft gave me ms sx for 4 mos after 10 days of zoloft. Effexor gave me serotoninsyndrome, vertigo for almost a year, and cymbalta, 30mg for 2 days, 20mg for the 3rd and last day as I was getting sick, gave me a tremor, increased muscle pain, raynauds, sweating, and then after going off 3 days worth, got horrible biceps and feet shocks. I would hold a cup of coffee, the bicep would shock and it would fly across the room. Very irritable and sick feeling. "

" That's how you know it's working. I'm not going to say it's a good thing but when this kind of stuff happens, it helps you remember what's really going on - don't take it for granted, eh?

I ran out of boswellia this summer and since I order it from Swanson's online, it took a week to get here. I'd been out for two weeks before I ordered it - because I thought maybe I didn't need it anymore - but then the pain hit.

I was worried, because it took 8 weeks before it started working when I first started taking it. The pain was pretty bad. I was so glad when it disappeared again after only taking the Bos for a week. "

" Just a tip that I have found helpful...keep one dose of the important meds in your purse. Be sure to rotate out once in a while to keep the drugs fresh. "

" only you can tell if the meds are really working for you.

I was in so much pain and my doctor kept upping the dosage. I was afraid to quit. I reached a point that I wanted to stop all my meds. I did and went thru horrible withdrawals but once I finished going thru the withdrawals which took me about a month and a half. There was no increase in my pain level so all the meds I was on were doing nothing. This is just my experience. Everyone is different. I still use meds but only on an as needed basis.

They maybe working for you but missing a dose and having a bad reaction doesn't nessarily mean the meds are working for you your body could just be dependant on them now.

" I start WD if I'm late with Neuronton, even tho I can't find any reference that mentions dependence. Start runny nose and eyes, cold sweats. Sure would like to cut down - really has put on the weight.
