Hey fellow FM'ers!I have become really frustrated and thought you guys could help me out!You are a wealth of information and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for on the intenet.I've been searching through medical books and surfing the web and now I give up!
What I would like to know is: "Does anyone know what the recomended amount of daily vitamins and suppliments are???"Every book i read has a different amount.I tried looking up the usda recommended amount and could only find one from1997.I'm not a computer whiz but geesh..I didn't think I was that puter stupid!LOL!!Any help would be greatly appreciated! My uncle in california gets free vitamins from his employer and sent them to me.He said if they help he'll send me more.Great because I can't afford them on my own. There are 3 different kinds and I don't want to wind up taking too much of certain vitamins or suppliments and am having a problem figuring out what are safe amounts to take. Thanks so much!!!Love and (((HUGS))) Tori Posted on 11/04/09, 12:11 am |

Before being able to really answer this in a way you can use, you'd have to take a hard look at what you are getting in your regular diet. In my case, with a fish allergy, I know I was NOT getting my Omega fatty acids. Adding the supplement made a big difference in how I felt in a matter of days. If you are a big veggie eater, odds are you are getting a broad variety of essential nutrients. If you smoke, however, you are likely depleting (& not properly absorbing) sufficient calcium, Vitamin A or D. A great way to really do this right is to go see a nutritionist (well worth it.). A blood test can determine whether or not you may beed B12 supplements or injections. While the bottle may list RDA's, relating that to your unique physiology (size, age, dietary habits, weight, life-style, medications you take etc) is another matter entirely! Getting the vitamins you need can be life changing & greatly diminish the impact of your fibro.
