Ok, Lyrica not working and I am gaing weight. My rheumy is not listening to me and I'm fed up. I'm going back to my neuroscience doc. Does anybody else see a pain management doc. This doc gives me shots in the back. I'm in fibro fog and can't remember what the shots are called. I'm getting desperate and wondering if the pain in the center of my back is something else all together. Once you are crowned with Fibro then any and all other pains are thrown in the fibro box. I'm going crazy! Sherry

" the shots in my back at the pain clinic worked for about half an hour. the only treatment that's helped me with fatigue and pain is xyrem. getting a good night's sleep makes all the differnce in our recovery. find a dr. who specializes in sleep disorders and get a prescription for this drug. it's a miracle drug for fibros. is used mostly for narcolepsy and cataplexy. i swear by it and have been using it for three+ years. " Thanks abotsd, I do take the generic for ambien, a very low dose puts me out and it helps. I'm checking into all treatments and alternatives. We are thinking I have had this for most of my life. The accident seemed to trigger it into fast mode. I also have an IBD, which is also auto immune. It's a vicious cycle! "

" I got a cervical epidural injection last week in the hope it would help my severe neck nerve pain. Here I am a week later with zero relief. I'm so disappointed because I feel like my Pain Doc doesn't know what to do with me at this point. The allover body pain from fibro is bad enough but the nerve pain is unbearable. I just want relief from the pain. That's all we fibo patients are asking for. Why is it so damn hard to ger doctors to empathize with that? Good luck. Take care. "

" I have a jacuzzi tub I use once a wk for my muscles. I set the jet on low so it does not hurt me. It does help relaxe my muscles. I do use it more in the winter. "
