I used to be right-handed, now I have to retrain my brain to think left-handed.
I did this retraining back in 1993 because I knew I was going to be having surgery on my right elbow area to relocate my ulnar nerve. So, for about a month I would sit at the kitchen table writing my name. In my job at the time I was signing licenses to work for applicants. So, you can see the delima of not being able to put my signature down. Now I find myself in the sort of same position. My right hand and arm hurts so badly and swells up a lot more than it used to. Also, I am losing my grip on heavier things like plates, or even lighter things just slip through my fingers. I am doing this retraining thinking, maybe at some point with resting my right arm it will calm down enough to "normal" again. Have any of you had a remote issue like this? Signed, Lefty! I would bee SO Screwed IF I needed my left hand for ANYTHING...it is basically for balancing, driving...not Much !!
My Mom however could Not only Write with Both Left & Right...but at the SAME Time..was Weird !! I would Practice & Practice...to No Avail...I would become helpless...sigh...GL in this !!

I can write either way. My mom said I was born left handed but because I was the only left handed kid in the class the teacher switched me. I did not know this till I broke some bones in my right had, I college and trying to keep up I tried my left hand. One day later I was writing left as though I was left handed all my life.

both hands elbows shoulders neck are alwaysin pain=surgery on both thumbs ?? @ same time cause i don'y thnk i would go back to get other done! been always using my ffet/toes to pik up things & my teeth but those are hurting two & afraid of breaking off caps so ,don't open bottle any more can't really even tear plastoic bag w/ teeth! if my feet & legs go i will shoot myself! OK I DON"T HAVE GUN!! i'm always brusied cause i use my forearms & leggs/theig to push & catch everthing!

ps i'm ambadextreus also which is even worse can paint & write w/ both when notin pain now i all the time feels=like thumbs are actually broken =like a broken bone! that the pain =any little movement so i scream out loud in a whisper all day long!
