I find myself to be a 50 but because I work I am forced to be a 70. This is probably why I have those 30 type days.

What number are you?

" mostly 40. hard to judge. some days are really awful and i don't keep track of them. lost days. good pain relief helps me to lead a more satisfying life. enjoy the physical training i'm getting. strengthening a chronically ill body is crucial. had my first masage. felt so much better the next day. now just need someone to pay for them , (masages). money can solve a lot of problems. good rating system. thanks. " Unfortunately for me I range between 0 and 10. It is very hard to explain this to people who know other people with fibro who function "just fine". People who can still work can't understand why I haven't been able to work for over 20 years. It doesn't make any difference to them that I tried 10 times to go back to work. I can pretend for a couple of days sometimes but the flare ups put me back in bed for days.

Thank you so much for the time you took to share this with all of us. "

" First off, I'd like to thank you Jeanne for posting this and I agree with many others in that this is a very helpful scale.

I would say that most days I am around 30. However, with a bad flare up I drop down to a 20 or even 0-10 with a severe flare up. Those days are the worst since I live alone and have no one to assist in caring for me. Even on the good days it is still hard to get out of the house since I also suffer from agoraphobia and have no car. I am very blessed to have a VERY supportive family however and they not only come to take me out of the house at least one day a week, but also come regularly to help me work on my house. This website and the people here have been very helpful as well. Just knowing there are people out there to talk to about the things we live with day to day is a blessing. Thank you to all of the people who keep DS running and those who are so uplifting to others. "

" I am proud to say at this time I am about an 80 with some fluctuation. HOWEVER, two years ago I was a about a 20 before I was diagnosed. I have worked diligently through research and I have found the right mix of meds, supplements, exercise, massage, diet and sleep that I feel quite well these days. My biggest complaint is fatigue. "

" i would say 20-10 according to this scale i am often bedriden due to the pain and fatigue but i try to go out to my mums once a week and sometimes go out with my carer on tuesdays, i have carers to make breakfast wash and dress me as i am unable to do these things myself and also carer back at lunch time.. also carer comes once a week to do cleaning. My fiance looks after me when he finishes work.

I wish and could do more : (

" I'd say 40. Sometimes30 and sometimes 20. I am a cleaner for work...I do it less than part time...I cannot sit or stand for long..it kills me. How depressing...thought I was doing better than that. "
