I find myself to be a 50 but because I work I am forced to be a 70. This is probably why I have those 30 type days.

What number are you?

" I'm about a 30-40 according to this scale....but I do dip down to a 10 at times.

I can't say I've ever been bedridden. Even after surgeries. "

" I am about 30-40 - sometimes lower, as wonderbaby, I am not bedridden, because I refuse to stay in my bed. I suppose I have been sofa bound. "

" I'd say a 30 at this point-is this a recognized method, ie, disability? It would be so useful-

Blessings,
Angel "

" I have sunk to a low 20. It's horrible. I'm shut in and in pain all the time.

It's a major fiasco just trying to go out to see the doc these days as I need someone to help me get dressed and to help me get in there.

I am still a young woman. I should be out hiking and dating and enjoying my life. I had such a wonderful life and job before I got mono and then got this horrid condition. I hate it!! I hate that I keep getting worse and nobody knows how to help us. "

" I am somewhere between 60 and 70 much of the time, but have had those 20-30-40 times for sure, and I'll never be completely free of those times I don't think.

I am curious as to whether this scale is in common use, as it is very descriptive of what the levels mean, which makes it so much better than trying to rate our pain on a scale of 1-10 when nobody agrees what the numbers mean. To me 10 is end-stage cancer, to someone else it may be childbirth, and to someone else it may be something they have experienced as the worst pain they've ever had, so to them that is a 10.

This is much more objective - hope it's going to stick around. "
