I am sorry I don't have names to books. Most of the research I do on FM is on the mayo clinic website or the John Hopkins website. I believe you will find some good information covering the information you seek at the website listed below.

Coping and support
By Mayo Clinic staff Besides dealing with the pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia, you may also have to deal with the frustration of having a condition that's often misunderstood. In addition to educating yourself about fibromyalgia, you may find it helpful to provide your family, friends and co-workers with information. It's also helpful to know that you're not alone. Organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation and the American Chronic Pain Association provide educational classes and support groups. These groups can often provide a level of help and advice that you might not find anywhere else. They can also help put you in touch with others who have had similar experiences and can understand what you're going through. And DS :)

I have heard of this book, and it sounds almost identical to how they dx and treat fm and cfs at the Portland Fibro and CFS clinic. This clinic has the entire program for several thousand dollars, but their labwork which is very extensive is paid under insurance. There are several of these clinics around the US. But here is the website address for the book, and I believe it is From Fatigued to Fantastic. I am interested in the hpa axis, coritsol, and mitochondrial analysis.

As dumb as it sound... Complete dummies guide to Fibro. It covers so much....even disability info.
Its an easy read. I also rented a bunch from the library. I didn't read them all...but lots of good info. I'd suggest starting at your local library.

I would have to go with the Devin Starlanyl books. They were the most help for me.
Always trust the author/physician who has the condition themselves.
