...or whatever coordination that fibro has left you with??

I'm off balance, keep dropping and knocking over things. Spilling stuff all over the place. It only seems to happen every once in a while....thank goodness! It's very frustrating and makes me angry at myself for being such a klutz.

Trying to get ready for the kids to come over and dropping things, bumping into things, spilling things, knocking things over, etc. Keeping my grabber/ / reacher handy so I don't have to bend over. Also using my walker today....I'm afraid of falling down. That its keeping me from brusing myself bumping into things. Doesn't mean I haven't rammed things with my walker or rolled over a few things. LOL

Just curious if others have this same problem. ????

" Oh, yeah and its so embarassing. I'm only 23 and I gotta use a cane when I go out in public just in case. I run into too many things and trip over my own feet, etc. My joints also give out so without the cane, I know I'd be in real trouble.
Just yesterday, tried getting up from the couch. I don't know what happened but couldn't seem to get my feet planted and basically was out of control. I aimed for a chair that is very padded and luckily I landed there (head first...a bit of owww but considering the alternative, I'll take it).
I too have to use a grabber cause bending over seems to make my cordination (not to mention pain and dizziness) worse. "

" I'm so clumsy and such a klutz that my skin is more blue from bruises than white! I gave myself one heck of a bruise on the back of my arm this morning; it hurt!!! Today I'm also having word problems. I'll be talking and can't think of the word. I was doing that a lot when I was on the Lyrica, but I haven't had any of that since May. I also have a headache, so it might have something to do with that. I hear my bed calling! "

" Same thing, I bump into the walls, and found one of my charts from 5 years ago that said I "list over to the right side", and I did not know that, and someone recently said "anyone can see you list to the right"..but I also have severe thigh weakness, and it seems like I cant walk straight... Like drunk.. I never had this before until the last few mos..The other day I fell in the garage, due to thigh weakness, they would not hold me, and I hurt myself. I also have osteoporosis, and dont want to break anything.

Now I am starting to think, this really is an autoimmune thing with relapses, because we all have the same symptoms. And I filled out a fibromyalgia questionairre and I believe it asked "do you have trouble with balance?" and "trouble swallowing?" which I do also... it is a wierd thing, I wish they could see what is wrong. " Raindrop! I have trouble swallowing too, but always thought that maybe it was scar tissue from having had my thyroid removed! Something new that's been happening the last few weeks is that I will all of a sudden take in a deep breath, but it's a hesitant deep breath (hard to explain). I never know when it's going to happen, but once I was eating sunflower seeds and that was not a good time for that to happen! "

" Had troubles swallowing my pills the other night. Got to choking and coughing and wound up with my pills in nose. That was all kinds of fun. I finally wound up "snorting" water to flush the out that way.

They always try to tell me it is GERD but I rarely even burp....let alone have heartburn. They give me prescriptions but I have quit filling them. It makes no difference whether I take it or not. Swallowing is still an issue.

Even went through an endoscopy where they found a growth. So that became the problem, according to the docs. Biopsy showed it to be benign and still didn't fix the problem.

So perhaps it is tied into the fibro somehow. "

" Wow could really relate to what raindrop was saying about feeling like was walking like a drunk and also the gearing off to the right side if I understand what you were saying right.. Is just how I explained it to my doctors. Is embarrassing for me in public. The only way I can control it is to stop wait a few minutes and resume walking. And have the upper thigh weakness. And occassional trouble with swallowing. I was also diagnosed with myositis. I do not use a cane or walker and or have problems with falling however. I also have osteoporosis.

take care gentle hugs "

" I am not on any medications for FM. Not sure about others. Had this for a long time. Just is not as severe as what I am reading with others. "
