OK I did it - I saw my PCP yesterday and he had just gotten in the titration packs of Savella. Today is my first day, and I'll keep y'all posted as I go through the weekend and next week with the starter dosage.
I'm really hopeful that this is going to work for me. I'd love to stop taking even one of the pain meds - like to not have to worry about whether I have my breakthrough meds. So...Day 1...I'll let you know how it goes. Posted on 07/01/09, 12:07 pm |

I took it just awhile ago and I feel really warm. It is 62 degrees in the house - there's no way I can feel hot! And the nausea is pretty bad. Nausea has always been an FM symptom of mine - and I've never found any help for it. I did take my savella in the middle of my lunch meal. If the nausea gest worse, I'll be throwing up for sure!

Good luck with Savella, I've been having good results.
There can be naesea, sweating, flushing. Always take with food and drink lots of water. Don't take your second pill past 5-6 pm, it may mess with sleep in some. My reaction to the first pills was flushing and tingling but it pretty much stopped after a few days. Take care and I hope you have good results as well.

I believe that in the USA Savella is the only brand name for that drug - but it is known as other names in Europe where it's been used for awhile now.

Good luck Peace. I really hope it helps you with the pain. Let us know if you experience any side effects. I've heard that it's helpful to keep a daily med journal to track how you're feeling every day. That way, it's easier to see if there's a pattern in both side effects or improvements.

I am also trying it again. First time hear palpations this time not so yet on 2nd day and yes pain meds went down...lets keep our fingers crossed...
