OK I did it - I saw my PCP yesterday and he had just gotten in the titration packs of Savella. Today is my first day, and I'll keep y'all posted as I go through the weekend and next week with the starter dosage.
I'm really hopeful that this is going to work for me. I'd love to stop taking even one of the pain meds - like to not have to worry about whether I have my breakthrough meds. So...Day 1...I'll let you know how it goes. Posted on 07/01/09, 12:07 pm |

good luck with it. I am just finishing my first pack-bit more energy for sure-not so much help with the pain, but dealing with constant rain has made it tough.
Blessings, Angel

I took my first dose of Savella a few hours ago - I'm very nervous about it. How are you doing so far?

I took it on an empty stomach and I was feeling some very mild nausea, which the doctor who is on our non-profit board said is completely normal. As he put it, "when you get norepinephrine, you're going to get nausea!"
That type of side effect is usually temporary as the body adjusts. It went away as soon as I ate something. I'm not feeling any different right now but didn't expect to the first day.
