Trigger finger and hands

Lots of my pain is found in my hands and feet. I have had constant tingling(faint and not painful) in those areas for 3 years. For the past 6 months my hands are extremely painful. They swell, itch, and most recently my middle left finger gets stuck in the morning. The PT called it a trigger finger. Anyone get those or terrible pain in hands?

" I know I get those pains all the time in my hands and toes, I am chalking it up to FM and my scoliosis. Still to be on the safe side, I would at least call your doc and see what he/she says. You dont want to play around with that. As far as the tingling in the hands and feet, it may be a pinched nerve due to all the moving around you are doing in the classroom. It maybe you slept wrong but since it is a consistant thing, I would lay my money on a pinched nerve in your back causing the tingling in your hands and feet. Anyway that is my 2 cents for the day! I do hope you get some relief soon. Let us know how you are doing. We are here if you need us!!! Gentle hugs. Star "

" hey there. I was diagnosed with tendenitos in 2002. I allways felt it was more. But i was typing alot. I get all kinds of sensations in my hands from tingling, swelling, numb, cramps and stiffiness. Sometimes the kind that the whole had is cramped up and wont move. And very tender to the touch, i can't hit my hands on anything the pain is unkindly. My sister says i sleep funny with my hand crossed on my chest. I tell here i am just protecting them from any pain. LOL Anyways i also have pain in my feet, sometimes tingly and my ankles they can't get touched either. Sorry sometimes i can just go on and on. I think that tendonitos stuff is just the fibro. "

" I had trigger finger about 4 years ago. It would get "locked" into bent position, especially when I first got up in morning. I would hold it under warm water and rub it until I could get it to straighten out!

I went to orthopedic doc and he gave me cortisone in my hand. That lasted a year...returned and he did it again. He told me next time that I probably needed to go ahead and have surgery to correct it. That shot lasted about 6-7 months. I went back and told doc to just give me one more shot because my daughter was getting married and I had too much going on to have hand surgery.

Well, that was in 2004 and I haven't (knock on wood) had it since! I rub it every day several times a day in a the center of my palm and top side of my hand. I think probably what was causing mine was a trigger point in my hand. When I feel it starting to "catch", I apply a little more pressure where I rub. Don't know if that will help or not... "
