Walking...

Walking uplifts the spirit. Breathe out the poisons of tension, stress, and worry; breathe in the power of God. Send forth little silent prayers of goodwill toward those you meet. Walk with a sense of being a part of a vast universe. Consider the thousands of miles of earth beneath your feet; think of the limitless expanse of space above your head. Walk in awe, wonder, and humility. Walk at all times of day. In the early morning when the world is just waking up. Late at night under the stars. Along a busy city street at noontime.

I love walking and my dog really needs that exercise too. I finally felt strrong enuf to start up again yesterday after that month long flare from hell. It felt so wonderful, made me feel alive and normal. It is a good chance to wave and say hello to neighbors. This always lifts my spirit. I can't walk much, but I did a whole five long blocks yesterday. Hope to increase that little by little. I love my Easy Spirit tennis shoes for this. The best I have found for my cranky feet. :)

Wonderful! I so know what this author is talking about. Nothing better than to take a walk and let your mind wonder and take in all that nature and man has to offer. Thank you for posting!
