Went to the dr today and he prescribed skelaxin for night time. Has anyone taken this for sleep? I know it's a muscle relaxer, so maybe it will work. Still on Lyrica and Cymbalta with lortab for breakthrough pain. He said that he will probably increase Lyrica dosage next month. Taking 50 3 X a day now. If anyone else is on these meds, does that sound right. It's not like I don't trust the doc, just that I wonder if these are normal doses. hugs, Lynn

Im on Skelaxin now too. It seems to help a bit. My Dr. just put me on it so I will have to wait to see.

I've been on Skelaxin for a long time -- dr was socked it doesn't make me sleepy. I'm on a few things that cause drowsiness and I'm usually awake all day.
I, too, take 150mg of Lyrica per day, but mine is in 2 doses. My understanding is this is quite a low dose, but I take it for nerve pain more than for fibro.

I know! It takes alot of medicine to work as it should for me. Believe it or not I actually woke up during my knee replacement surgery. I don't remember feeling any pain (just afterwards!) The anesthesiologist told me I was making him scared when he came back to up my pain meds. guess we are just harder to medicate!

At one time my dr put me on skelaxin, I was told this would not make you tired. It didn't make me tired but I felt like I was in la la land so I quit taking it.

No Im on 2 800 mgs pills a day then shes going to increase it to 3 pills a day.

I take mine 3 times a day for muscle relaxer. Not for sleep - but it does make me a little sleepy, if I take it at the same time as my other million other pills ( sarcastic of course!) I hope it works for you! I am taking Rozarme (sp?) for sleep and it helps right now.... I get into a deep sleep... but its hard to wake up in the morning with it.
