" I got the one that they advertise as "THE BEST"....
89.99 which is a GREAT price. I bought one a few years ago just through my drug store uptown...its just a dinky little thing, nothing like they use at the doctor's office. It did feel good though while it was on...so I'm hoping this will be great for me!!
Lovinsa-your insurance may cover it, you'd have to enquire....it is great for people with FM. Here's a link to help you understand them more..and what they do.....

" I have used a TENS unit for many years off and on. I just got a new one recently, I need one with a timer on it. I am very happy with it.
No lovin, it does not hurt. You start off LOW then gradually turn it up to where you feel comfortable.
It interrupts the pain signal to the brain. It also helps your body to release endorphins, your body's natural pain killers.
I had mine on the other day, and it had me smiling....felt great.
I got a script from my doctor the other day, and I was fortunate enough to get one downstairs from her office which is a physical therapy place and they carry them.
I would suggest you try it....don't forget to release your fascia (the slick covering over your muscles and organs) Once your muscles are relaxed, your pain level is decreased greatly.
Once I get disability, I plan to get more professional massages as they are FANTASTIC too about pain relief.
try the TENS you will be happy you did.
It stands for Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulator. "

" sorry electrical nerve stimulator brain freeze, this is listed on the website that Mizzie posted which I explained on another thread---you have to have a script to purchase one....at least in the US you do, I dont know about other countries
Thanks Mizzie

" mine can be used w/ batterys lol
& i find i use that as a timer since i use old batterys & it just goes off after awhile when i fall asleep!
i also have a inverter i can plug in car/plus ac/dc too!
i love it i try it before taking more pain meds & try to use it before i really getin pain! if i use it every day for 10-15 before going anywhere i find i can stay out later w/pot as much pain! i likethe long rectrangle pads! larger area @once!
it doesn'thurt =as long as you don't turn it up to much! does like everyone its different norm days ya right what normal lol
i'm a 10-15 & bad flare days i can go to 50..then back off slowly every 5-10 min till i get to a comfortable palus! If you have it pluged in eletrical turn off your switch, before unpluging=sometime i have to get up & do something phone door wct! you can unplug @ unit instead of wall! BUT MAKE SURE IT IS TURNED OFF BEFORE PLUGGING BACK IN & RE ADJUST!
OR YOU CAN GET A ELETRICAL CHARGE NOT FUN! before removing pads! also!
really a great therpy=that how i know we do short out or have something thats not connecting right! cause this works! "
