I think this is similar to what my doc does.

In Canada, Doctors of Osteopathy must complete a five-year course in addition to certain academic and professional prerequisites. This is one of the techniques my doctor used to treat my shoulder rib that was out of place. It was causing me all kinds of grief as it was an inch taller than the other one. http://api.ning.com/files/FDh-EIAv...*KEQy-GsdT7xEO9N8VzaHFaPfJ5qKqMFirUZ-VFtiomM1jvPmtZKv7RzmW2n6OTWQg95uT24Ou/SeatedCTHVT5.jpg?width=450&height=600 Posted on 11/22/08, 10:11 am |

Thanks for the link. I appreciate it.
My SIL, the nurse, went to an OE for her back because she didnt want to have surgery, It turned out good, the osteopath was able to crack her back and give her medicine.

Hi. I have been seing an Osteopath here in Australia for the last two months. He has massage therapists who work on you for 30-40 min prior to the adjustments. I have chronic back pain and this definitively lessens my pain (all over). I am considering going back to seeing my chiropractor. I think the osteopath is good for more "general" pain and preventative help, but Chiro better if something actually have to be adjusted. This is my first experience with an Ostopath and I definitively recommend it. I have seen lots of Chiropractors and prefer the gentle ones who does the activator method. I will miss the massage therapists though.... :)
