My doctor gave me some lidoderm patches samples.. Also she helped me sign up for free patches. They are put on your painful spots, and do really do help. It has lidocaine %5, that kinda numbs the area. They have helped me when I was at my wits end. patches all over..lol..only have 3 patches at a time, but you cut cut them into 2,3,4 or however small you need. Thought I would pass this on to my friends and family here at DS.

" Hi Kevin

I don't mean to butt in here....but for the question regarding the difference between the sunburn spray and the patches you take is supposed to be the strength of the drug being administered. Or that is what the doctor shared with me when I asked.

Kev...it's so good to see you on the boards again. Take care hun! "

" I love these pathes! I wear them on the bottom of my feet. They seem to stay on with socks. They are so expensive though. How do you sign up for free patches?

I think that is a good question on the sunburn spray. Of course the patches are prescription strength, but it must be more than that for the price. I'll look up the contents of both and see if I can figure that out. "

" I love the patches too! but they do not stick will

& my insurance won't pay for them, but the will give me the 3% cream, which is good to but had to reach on back =need to apply it about every 30min for good relief
My doc has sent them letters & phone calls but they won't budge so he gives me as many free sample as he can every four weeks

Again the cream i can rub between my fingers & had to reach place the patches won"t stick too, like elbows! Youy can also cut the patches into to smaller pieces! "

" I just got the Lidocaine patches, too.
Wish I could cover my body in them and wear them 24/7...

No one where i live likes to prescribe opioids so right now it's my only direct pain relief... so I'll take it where I can get it!
good luck to all! "
