What kind of Beds?

I wake up with my shoulders hurting all the time. Sometimes I can't move in the morning because of this. I was wondering if people ever bought one of those so called special pedicatric beds and sleep number beds and if it was worth the money. I am always interested in those kind of beds but they are sooo expensive. I wish the insurance would cover some if it due to pain. Wouldn't it be nice? so if you got one, is it worth it? I am just so sore getting up in the mornings, even with my muscle relaxor - i am only taken them at n ight, but I am almost ready to ask him to take it during the day because it is helping so much better... I am taken less percocet because of it! None at night right now! much better progress!

" I had a sleep number bed and I swear by them. However, I bought one when I was really young and I didn't have the income to keep it up. It has a lot of components and when they fall apart you need to buy replacements--probably about every 2-5 years. I would spend the extra money and get the one with the comfy pillow tops. Spring for the best sleep number model and it can last you 20 years if you replace the parts. The sooner you buy replacement parts the cheaper it will cost under your 20 year warranty. The customer service is excellent. I wish I had kept the bed. Now, I'm stuck with my husbands hard mattress which is AWFUL!!! I'm looking into replacing my bed quite soon. But Sleep Number DOES improve morning stiffness, and it is great because you can control just your side of the bed. "

" I also have a wii fit that I work out on. It is fun. But you have to keep up with it. I've lost about five lbs so far. I wrote an online article. Here is the link:

" Hi Sweetie....

We have a sleep number bed. (got it on a payment plan which we could afford)....that still wasn't cutting it......so we purchased a separate 4" memory foam topper. This helped more....but I still wake up in pain. Shoulders, hips, back, legs, arms....you name it.

I will say this much.....I love my bed. I can fall asleep on it, I love cozying up on it. It is the most comfy bed ever.......especially with all of my pillows. But, it still doesn't take away all of the pain.

They have payment plans if you can handle that. Also, consider watching craigs list. They will have them occasionally. We picked up some spare parts for free from CL for our bed.

But if you wanna try it out....see if any local hotels have them. ( I believe Raddison hotels do). And spend a night there. I honestly don't think that the hour you'll spend at the store will tell you whether or not you'll like it. Oh, and there are some knock offs now too. Sleep Comfort? I think that's one of the knock off brands.

And prior to getting our bed.....I was using a double raised air mattress. To me, that is the best sleep! Absolutely zero resistance with those! "

" hi lovinsah. unfortunately, waking up sore is a part of fibro. what level of pain from 1-10 do you have when you wake up, and then at 15 mins later, then at 30 mins after you wake up.

i am usually about a 7, i take my pain pill straight away, and by 30 mins i'm about a 5, then an hour i'm usually a 2-3 until i get to 10 hours after my 12 hr dose, when i'm a 5-7 again. i find this is a good way of assessing the pain, otherwise its overwhelming and i think i'm in pain all the time. it helps me to work out what is worsening the pain or making it better. " Hello from the Sleep Number people! My name is Jeff and I work with Select Comfort's customer service team. Getting opinions and options from as many sources as possible is very important when deciding on a major purchase. I'd like to give you an option to check out as well as provide you with a source of opinions so that you may best consider what bed is right for you. You may want to explore the Sleep Number Memory Foam bed at www.sleepnumbermemoryfoam.com. This is a completely new innovation we recently rolled out and is the only bed that combines the comfort and support of memory foam with the adjustability of the Sleep Number technology. There are a lot of great suggestions and opinions at www.beds.com/blog/?p=133 that we invite you to check out from members of the press that were invited to try out the new bed at an event in New York. We are always having different promotions and one of our biggest sales of the year is the upcoming Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend, which allows many new owners the chance to find the Sleep Number that works best for them while staying within their budget. Let us know what you think!

Jeff
