I got this from the link I list for the health matters show with cindi crawford, she has tons of good info,
Fibromyalgia: Diet and Symptom Cause Maybe you've heard that people with Fibromyalgia can be affected by their diet and maybe you haven't. Everyday evidence suggests that many people react "symptom-wise" to what they eat (ingest). Here is one example: People who ingest any food substance with caffeine-- through drinking or eating coffee, tea or chocolate-- are likely to see an increase in pain. (We'll call these substances food for the sake of this discussion.) When you eat or drink these foods, they react biochemically and energetically with your body. They activate it to be more hypervigilant and increase the biochemicals that make you sensitive to pain. The fact that caffeine may increase pain is a generally accepted statement by medical professionals. However, there are a couple of exceptions, one being the over-the-counter drug Excedrin. It is constructed as a pain reliever plus caffeine. Their purpose here is that the addition of caffeine works as a catalyst in making the pain reliever work more efficiently for certain types of pain. But make no mistake, caffeine is more likely to increase the pain of a person with a condition such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, an autoimmune illness or arthritis. If you're in pain, stay away from caffeine. Posted on 10/26/08, 08:10 am |

I ingest very little caffine anymore but when I do there is not a noticable difference in my pain level. I do notice that if I have it in the late afternoon I don't sleep so I just don' have it.

I really haven't noticed an increase in pain when I drink caffeine. I notice a big difference with the weather changes.

i am absolutly shooting form the hip here... but for real...
it isnt caffeine or alcohol or ciggarettes or anything. the medical world cant figure us out, so they blame something else. i go out for a walk and have to ingest the carbon monoxide of the cars and busses around me, but you wont hear about that, because the world "needs" to get around. ive had it with being blamed for the worlds selfishness and greed.

Yeah, let's just quit eating, drinking and living and maybe we'll get well.
After all - it's all in our head anyway. We aren't doing enough to help ourselves. We must have brought this on from working to hard and having to much stress.

I have to have my sodas and I have had bad pain and not so much pain. I have never changed the amount of sodas i drink. I dont do coffee I do sodas. I just dont buy it either. I think they have to point the finger some where. I do beleive that some people cant handle caffien, but I think thats more heart ralated.
