18 months ago when I was first given lyrica. at the health club that I belong to many doctors or members too, in the locker room I was just chatting with another dr. and she stated to me not to take it because we didn't know enough about the medication in fact she hadn't used it with any of her patients for that reason. it didn't help me, so I refused to take it. I have never heard of any thing good about it, even when used as it was first meant to be used for.. its buyer be wear...

This is why I dont take any medications that havent been on the market for at least a few years. Unfortunately they pump them all out, a few people get really sick or die and THEN they adjust it. Bad move on their part.

Thanks for the update, my visit with my chriro dr yesterday he asked if I had heard about Lyrica, I said yes and told him about all of the horrible things that I had heard from you all here on DS, he then stated that it was a double blind study that they did and that for more people then not that the medicine was working. I then still voiced my concerns especialy about the water weight gain and the weight gain in general. He asured me that I would know in 2 weeks if Lyrica was going to help me or not. I am not in any hurry to try it.

I have had a bad feeling about it since it came out, glad I didn't take it. Thanks for the info.

I just had a nuerologist apmt today and Dr Minks has had so much success with patients on LYrica and I told him I didnt feel any different and didnt want it - it didnt help me out at all and it did cause edenma in my hands and feet that I noticed when I took it.
