My mother-in-law is taking it. It is expensive and has all kinds of side effects. I wouldn't touch it. Stupid drug companies can't do things right for us. Everything is expensive and has horrible side effects. I hate the drug companies.

I tried Lyrica and it didn't work for me. It increased my pain levels, caused me to sleep too much (10-12hrs at a time), and affected my moods and personality. My Dr. took me off of it as soon as I told him about my side effects. However, it does work very well for others here.

I am now taking Neurontin, an older drug, but along the same lines as Lyrica and have had great results with it.

Lyrica made me feel like total kerap the first week and then nothing for 3 more weeks even with and increase. My doctor told me it only helps 50 percent of the people that can handle the side effects. My GP said it is helping his diabetic neuropathy patients.

I'v been on it for a while and haven't ahd any problems that I know but now I'm beginning to wonder....

I have been taking it for about 3 months and now that you mention it I have been complaing about my back for weeks. I also have had a huge increase in weight gain.

ive been on it for close to two months it is helping my pain a lot.but the higher dose makes me feel like zombie.

Sorry havent tried it I heard weight gain and that was enough for me not to try it..Hugs

THIs is a very strange drug, some can and some can't take it for whatever reason. I have tried it and it didn't work on me either but I have also heard others saying that it halped them so much, so I would guess that you really have to give it a try and see how it works for you.....
It made my feet swell up within a few days of taking it. I have also heard that it will increase your wt....Hope this helps you....Love....Helen

Thanks so much for the input. Lyrica does have some serious side affects, not sure if I should keep taking it. It does make me feel like when you drink a little much, no swelling, hands and feet are cold actually, no increase in appetite, back getting a little stiff again. The side affects are really enough not to take it, before I bought it I should asked about that. It's throwing money away. I always ask for samples but they had none because I'm sensitive to everything. Got to be something natural to take. Why does everything have so many dam side effects. I will be honest, WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM GOING TO ADMIT THIS, that stuff is horrid and wicked. My pain doc had me on it and I would take it about 30 min before I wanted to go to bed. Well DH and I fought like crazy all the time and I didn't know why until DEC 26 of 2006 I slit my wrist and was rushed to the county hospital. They wouldn't even let DH by me because they thought he had something to do with it. When they was trying to decide if I had to go to the third floor I talked to the counselor I told her that I was taking it and she told me that is what one of the side effects is and I am to get off of it right then. She let me go home and DH and I stopped fighting and he told me what I was like on the stuff. We are all different so just be careful and good luck!!I feel like I just went through confession and I am not Catholic!!!
