Can anyone give me an idea of how much a visit costs? I'm considering for pain resolution but since I'm not working and wasn't born rich, I have to take the cost into consideration.

Thanks for your help!

" This is a great question. Just now, I have been searching posts for acupuncture-related posts. I have been considering it too because I would really like to med-free...I don't how much it costs either. If you get any info, let me know. Thanks! "

" Like all things, your location will affect the cost of the service, but here in Oregon it is 40 an hour...after the big first appointment which is 200-300.

I haven't been to acupuncturist in so long, but I think works. It really helped me after a big car wreck. "

" I think I paid about $60/visit. This was several years ago, and it was for infertility not fibro. I've been thinking about going back for the fibro & headaches, because it actually did feel kind of good after the initial 'weird' feeling. There were one or two spots he'd stick the needle in & I'd feel something almost like an electric shock/current go up my leg & spine. He said that was a good thing, and my 'chi' was out of balance. Is that right, chi? lol I think it does matter where you live too, I'm in the southeast. If you have a school nearby, you can get it cheaper too. We have a school of massage therapy & accupuncture nearby & it's cheaper, and it's usually just as good....it's the advanced students close to graduation that you get, or the instructor. "

" It depends. Mine was usually 50-60 dollars, but it depends on the degree of the alternative medicine practitioner, the length of the visit, the technique, and the first visit is usually more expensive. "
