" Boy, do I know that feeling! I have a poultice of herbs my acupunturist gives me that I can put in the microwave and put on my hands for 30 minutes at a time. It helps me tremendously. "

" Have you been checked for Connective Tissue Disease? That was my very first symptom of that disease. I woke up one morning and my hands felt like I had a mack truck PARKED on them. The joints hurt so bad! Now it's in every joint system in my body.

There is a blood test for it. So just ask you doc to do a test for you. If you do have it, you need to be on meds to prevent it from progressing to RA or Lupus.

sorry, the only thing that helps with my pain, is heavy pain meds. I say call your doc. I know it's painful! "

" My hands and feet/ankles were "the first to go" as far as my FM and PSA. Some days my hands are alright as far as pain, but I have very little strength in them. It takes both hands to do things most people only need one hand to do...(okay...don't go there...you know what I mean!!!)

They improve with my pain meds, but I don't get anywhere near total relief unless I'm on something like Prednizone. "

" Judy-- When I get these odd pains in my hands and elsewhere, I use Zero-Pain cream. It is homeopathic cream from HSN.com. It is also called Frankie Avalon pain cream. This is the ONLY homeopathic anything I use, but it really works! HSN item #513015.
Good luck,
homebod "

" I have chronic myofascial pain syndrome and since no one ever told me about it, I just assumed the pain in my hands was arthritis.

Turns out a bit of massage in the right places keeps my hands functioning properly even with hours on the computer and embroidering.

Check out triggerpointbook.com. This book has made my life bearable. "
