Do You Believe In a Cause of FM

I know a lot of people who have FM because of Lyme Disease and Mold Exposure but I just watched a rather long video on aspartame (nutrasweet and equal) and according to many reports that stuff is toxic and causes all kinds of problems that are labeled autoimmune disorders including FM. What toxin do you think caused your FM? Mine was mold. I’m hoping to get information on toxin exposures.

Here’s the video on aspartame. http://video.google.com/videoplay?...

There is no medical advice here and this is my opinion.

" I think mine is hereditary. I don't think it's caused by mold, Lyme or aspartame. "

" I believe Fibromylagia is caused by an inherited predisposition to the disease, and then is triggered by viral illness, or physical or emotional trauma. I believe it escalates each time we are subjected to further trauma, physical or emotional. "

" the only thing mine can Possibly be is lymes...have never been exposed to Molds..at least not very much if I ever was...and have never done the diet sugars...i DID get SEVERAL of my friends OFF diet pop tho since they did Not have diabetis and were drinkin it to help lose weight...have you ever seen a skinny diet pop drinker ?...i haven't !!
I went and was tested...nothing back yet...how long does it take ?
and he did a more complete medical review including what I believe now to have been the tick bite...I do have a scar there which he says is unusual...but the fact that I may have RUBBED the Tic off and left the head could have caused scarring {is what he thinks anyway}...the area where my rash was is in an area that my jeans would have rubbed hard while doing physical labor...yupp..at one time I was a 100 pound little fireball that worked right next to the men...day in and day out...and was ALWAYS treated with respect....A longs way from there Now !!

so am hopeing for the results in soon. "

" My toxin was a drug/hormone called Lupron. It is used in men for prostate cancer and in women with endometriosis.

It couldn't have been MORE like clockwork. After my second of 6 monthly injections, I was having trouble climbing stairs. I gained 50 lbs. The pain went from being only back and pelvic to my entire body.

In addition, I developed a pretty severe depression that I could not pull myself out of without major meds.

Morus "

" msboni I hope you get some answers real soon but I heard that Lyme disease testing can give mixed results. You have to go with what you believe and then fight like hell.

Mold exposure can occur and one may never know they are being exposed but the toxins are building up in your body if you are a certain genotype. I do believe that genes play a roll in it but I think there is an environmental exposure as well. "Genetics loads the gun and environment pulls the trigger." This is what I have heard.

This is my opinal and there is no medical advice here. "

" I know mine is genetic as my twin-sister developed it at the same time as I did even though we lived 1,500 miles apart and never told each other. It was only when my niece got sick that we put it together. I'm sure my paternal grandmother had it and possibly my father.

I think all the chemicals in the food are going to lead to a whole generation of very fat, sick people. I'm glad I'm as old a I am. "
