FMS Log

I want to start keeping a log of what I am going through. I am not sure of what all I should keep track of and how often I should keep track of it. I know I should keep track of my food but what about how I am feeling. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks
Michelle

" I would think that you should keep track of how you felt in the morning, the different meds/vitamins you take during the day, what time you took them, what you eat, how you were feeling and at what time did you eat, and how you felt at the end of the day. Also make note if you got any new aches/pains or any spikes.

I did this for the first month that I started new meds to accurately determine how they were working. It is a pretty big undertaking but if you really want to find trends/patterns then it is pretty necessary. "

" This forum has a great journal section that I use as often as I can remember. It really helps to look back on treatments I have tried, frustrations, good news, etc. I personally only post anything that relates to FMS or health and not personal stuff. If you want more privacy, you can always choose to have it locked so only YOU can view it.

" I do and I print it out to take to the Dr each visit. I use the one on medhelp.com

Check mine out...

Is this what you are looking for? Its just enough information but not time consuming to fill out. It takes me about 2 minutes daily. They also have other trackers that you might like. "

" I Keep a Journal..

in that Journal I actually write down what I had that day to eat/drink...The Temps, Humidity...Pain levels...Fatigue Levels, Sleep...If I was Overly Active...

after awhile you will Notice a Pattern start to emerge...for Exmpl: I have Trigeminal Neuralgia...I found thru my Journal that IF I eat ANY Chewy Foods...I will have a TN Attack within 24 hours...so I STOPPED That...I have had No Attacks Since...Very Cool !!

That the Temps/Humidity actually DI in fact Really Bother Me !! Hot, Humid is the WORST for me...always ! Even tho I Love the Heat...my Body rebels...

You may even find it helpful to write out a real short version of it all to take in to your Dr. appointments...

Anytime I have an Appointment with a Specialist...I write out an easy to understand list of Symptoms, Issues, Questions, and I Mail it to him/Her in Advance...they are limited on Time...so they should have a clear View on What it is ya wanna discuss...

Keeping a Journal will help you do that..

Happy Journaling !! "

" Thanks everyone for your input. I have started my log and we will see how it goes. I had a few rough days so have not been keeping up with things. I am hoping a log will help figure out the bad days.
