Nope I didn't have that side effect. It made me feel like someone had drilled holes in my hips and shoulders. I'm sure that's one of the side effects though.

Yes, at first. It would last until about noon. It went away after a few weeks once the drug has assimilated or invaded or taken control of your body.
Maybe saturated would be a better word but Lyrica tried to kill me so I tend to villainize it as much as possible.

I take it every night with no issues like this from the med... however, even before the med I would have intermittent episodes of "drunkeness" - they are fibro induced..... maybe from buildup of those fatigue and pain receptors??

I've heard TOO many bad reviews on Lyrica, and it casues ALOT of weight gain too, I've heard....so I will never try this med. Now it came out it doesn't even really treat Fibro. Well, good luck.

I was recentley On Lyrica for 3 months it was a freakin nightmare.
It made all symptoms worse dizziness, pain, and I felt like I was dreaming all the time. I would frequenley fall. When I quit taking it and all the medicne was out of my system. I felt better but the fibro symptoms was still there. I caution anyone not to take any medicines without looking into them first exspecially one sopost to be for fibro they are treating fibro patients like guinna pig.

I've never heard of or experienced "intermittent periods of drunkenness" that are "induced" by fibromyalgia. SCIslandGirl - where did you hear this?
I'm been dizzy and I get the fogs, but I'm not sure it's the same as your drunkenness.

I get this weird euphoria, kinda scary actually, and I have never been drunk so I don't know but probably afterwards I feel drunk. It lasts for hours after I take the pills if I have stopped taking them for awhile. It is very strange and I don't like it at all- feels like what I think getting high would be like. I've never had anything near that with any other med, including some heavy-duty pain meds like demerol and fentanyl

I wouldn;t call the side effect I had as drunk it was more of a "high". I felt as if I was on drugs cand of thnking outside of my body. My major side effects was a super high fibro fog that made functioning almost impossible.

When I first started taking the lyrica, I would wake up SO exhausted, and I had some of the worst fibro fatigue I'd ever had. I was taking it twice a day, and I realized I wasn't spacing the doses out enough; make sure you have 12 hrs between doses. I felt pretty bad for the first month or two, but gradually I started feeling better. Now, my pain is MUCH better than where I was a year ago. Except for right now, but that's a bad combo of being sick for a month, getting thrown into a flare, having a whirlwind trip up to Chicago & back over a weekend (flying) for a family reunion, and then coming home & realizing I had screwed up my back major somehow, even though I don't know how, and I'm now getting chiro adjustments 3x week. Other than that though, I'm feeling pretty good! LOL

I use Lyric, take it at night . Dont see where its doing anyting. But if I take one in the morning. I am sleepy all day, don't care about anything. And walking is like bumper cars in the house. Stablity is impossible, and bending over to pick things up doesnt happen unless I wish to share a spot on the floor with that item.
