I have never had an issue with vaginal dryness...however, as of late with my husband, I've reached a point where if some sort of lubricant is not applied first, I damn near keel over from discomfort. Foreplay helps - sometimes...but mostly we've resorted to store-bought lubricants. Unfortunately, I have extremely sensitive skin and the initial application actually causes even more discomfort. Anything I can do?

Also, most positions (aside from stagnant ole missionary) where I'm not in control, he generally hurts me if we get too rough. Obvious fix is slow'n'steady but then he'll last forever and that brings us back full circle to the dryness issue...is this a psychological issue at this point?

This is the person I lost my virginity to 7 years ago. I've been with others since, but when we were teenagers this was abolutely NOT AN ISSUE. I'm only 22, so I don't understand the huge difference in the chemistry.

Help!?

" This was not a issue with me until I got older but DHEA helped fix that problem with me. I would hate to say but it could me hormones at your age too. My oldest daughter was just 17 when she went through menopause. Its is rare but not impossible.

Sex is a window to your health. You might as your doctor. "

" Are you taking any new medications or birth control? Did you have a baby recently?
Many things can contribute to vaginal dryness. I believe even stress, depression, etc., contributes to chemical embalances and hormonal changes in your body's chemistry.
I know how you feel about the lubes though..I get very irritated and a "burning" sensation if I use any type of lube or condom. I used to have this problem with my hubby a long time ago, I know this probably isn't the best remedy, lol, but I just put a little vasaline down there to make a "barrier" for non-painful penetration. Probably not the best mehtod, but it worked for me.
Talk to your doctor if this continues. It could be nothing at all or it could even be a vaginal infection (yeast or vaginosis..) "
