I am new to this place. Over the past year I have been very sick. My doctor referred me to a gastor doc because of my high liver enzymes. I was sent for an ultrasound and more bloodwork. The ultrasound showed an enlarged liver and the bloodwork again showed high liver enzymes and my iron is really low with an elevated blood count. The doctor diagnosed me with fatty liver but had also thought this could be atuoimmune related because I already have an autoimmune disease. But, my anti-antobody test came back negative. So, I was told that I have liver failure and was sent for a biopsy to see what stage I'm in. The doctor said that based on the stage of my disease, he might be sending me to program for people who will most likely need a liver transplant at some point. The biopsy was last week and I will be going in next week for my results. I'm hoping for the best but I'm worried and scared. I'm just looking for some encouragement and support.
