I just wanted to say hi to everyone and tell you a little about myself. I have been battling Terminal Brain Tumor for 5 plus years now and as of yet they still say the outcome does not look good. I have been in the Army now for almost 18 years and it is my honor and pleasure to serve my country. I have just found out that the man i call Dad has stage four lung cancer and was told he has 6 to 12 months to live. He has already done Chemo and Radiation. This is the man that had thought me to be a man, father and husband, and i really can stand the thought of losing him, this will be the second husband my mom will lose to cancer, i am just tired of hearing that word.

" You've done so well fighting for so long and serving our country at the same time. Kudos to you (and strength and help).

I'm sorry that you now have this diagnosis for the man you think of as your dad. I agree; it's a terrible word and it wrings your heart out to apply it to anybody you love. "

" Yes, I too, am sick to death of this cancer stuff. First of all I need to tell you that my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002. When her cancer moved to her liver and then her lungs, she was told that the average life expectancy is about 40 months. She greatly exceeded that. She is still here with us and continues to amaze me with her will to live.
We do what we can do, my friend. I am sending you some positive energy today, for yourself and your dad. You are a son that anyone would be proud of!
Hugs,
JK "

" That is a word I wish I never had to hear again. First my mom and now my boyfriend, not to mention too many friends in the past few years. God bless you and your father. "
