what exactly happens when someone goes for chemotherapy? what do thry do? how long is each sesion,how many times do you go back? how many rounds of chemo do people have? any info would be gretly appriciated. thank you

This can vary from person to person - especially side effects from the chemo.

It does vary person to person,, cancer to cancer. Some go short periods of treatment ...some longer (ours is 2.5 years of chemo if everything goes well). Chemo can be given at home in pill form, some are injections and others by IV. We have one that takes 6-8 hours to go in. Another one we've experienced is 1-2 hours to go in by IV. Depends on which drug and which route. It also depends how often you receive chemo. We have gone 3 times in a week, we've taken it every night at home, or some are once a month.
