Hello everyone,
It feels like forever that I have posted. I notice that when my H is manic that is when I need the most help and thank goodness to all of you, but when he is depressed he is actually very nice and we can live with that! Since he has been on me much better but definitely still very difficult in his manic moods. Well now he owns his own business and with this economy makes no money but will not let go of the business. Owners want him to leave but he wants to sue and is dragging it and is just in denial. What do I do, I keep telling him to give up and see if he can go on disability due to the Bipolar Dx but he refuses and will not even listen. I do not know if it is at all possible to do this. He has had his business for 20 years and it kept him feeling that he could do something and without it he feels lost! ANY IDEAS!! Hugs and Peace XOXOXO Posted on 11/04/09, 07:11 pm |

I am going to answer this as a 46 year old woman that was employed from the age of 15 til at the age of 43 when I was told I had a brain tumor and fibromyalgia (I also am BP1) in 3 months or less I went from being a very productive member of society to being a complete burden on my parents til I got SSD 3 1/2 years later. Imagine the blow to my ego. SSD does allow me to make an
extra 900 a month and after many many med changes I have been able in just the last 2 years to return to work some of the time. Applying for SSD and leaving the job force is a very personal decision and in my opinion the only person who can make that decison is your husband himself

Ofcorse, it is his decision but his bipolar makes it very difficult for him to function and I am trying to give him options. The landlord just wants his money and he has always made his rent but now it is hard.
He barely goes to work and cries everyday. I am at a loss, he has never been this bad. He went to his doctor today who told him to take more meds, and that worries me. Should we not try to figure this out instead of constantly throwing meds at him. Thanks in advance for your thoughts XOXO
