Advice:
A non-intimate marriage

View More Posts Ignore
I have been married for 6 years. My husband has NO desire to have sex or any type of intimate relationship with me.
He has told me flat out that he has no desire to have sex with me , we have not had sex in over a year -almost two-or slept in the same bed for 2 years. He has flat out told me he is not cheating on me and that "it's not me ... it's him" . I am so frustrated with him. I need affection/intamacy and have gone outside of my marriage before to find it. Please help!!!

Thank you!!

" Has he been seen by a doctor for a physical problem? I wonder if he has erectile dysfunction and is too embarrassed to talk to a doctor about it and perhaps try Viagra. I think that'd be the place to start, as this is not normal.

How old is your husband? "

" He is 43yrs old ... 7 yrs older than me. He does suffer from chronic neck/back pain from an injury he had from work right before we were married. The pain is regular - and he does take medication to help with pain. I think the medication he takes has caused some type of ED or messed with his sex drive. He tells me theres no need to see a Dr. , that he's fine - he's just not interested in havng sex.
He took viagra on or 2nd wedding anniversary and claims that I fell asleep so he didn't wake me up.... "

" Presc. meds can certainly cause ED, so it'd be a safe guess that's at least part of his problem. I think he's too young to give up on having a sex life and it sure isnt fair to you.

So he tired Viagra only once? Have you suggested he try it again? Make sure you stay awake if he does :-) "

" Does he still show you other kinds of affection? Is it just about not having sex? I too have problems with my partner at times too. "

" sometimes when a person is depressed that suppresses your urge for sex. Try not to go outside your marriage that only causes more problems. "
