How long do trials typically go in DUI related cases where no harm was done to any property or individuals?

I went and saw my friend today; he is prepping for his trials that start Friday. Please keep him in your prayers. He looked good, but sounded a little off from the last couple of times I saw him, though he says it was just a cold. But hey, then again, maybe it was just the monitor and phone. His face kept changing from green to gray to orange.I hope they are treating him ok and not messing with his medication. His other trial starts mid-November, so hopefully they go smoothly and he can get this hurdle behind him and know what he's really looking at.

At any rate, please keep him in your prayers.

" Your prayers and thoughts are appreciated, but once again, his attorney is slow, just filed a motion to post-pone the hearing until November 13th. This seems to be a cluster of dates as the jury trial in the other county is November 23rd. "

" I really don't know the answer to your specific question however, I can tell you that the wheels of justice turn v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y.

As Tom Petty says, "the waiting IS the hardest part".

" I dont know about your state or how fast things happen there but with my bf the charges were not a DUI but it took 111 days from the time he was arrested to the time he was sentanced and people told us that was fast compared to some peoples trials. "

" Thank you for all your replies. His last letter, as he keeps track, it has been 125 days already just waiting. There is a set date of November 23 for this charge. The judge is determined to make it happen as it seems his lawyer has caused much of the delay. Thank you. "
