Hospital Visit

So Justin called and gave me his ID number the minute the nurse told him I needed it. Thanks Gos! And I went and visited him for an hour last nite. And it went good. He is completely coherent. They do NOT have him drugged up on mind altering drugs like in the past. He lied and told them he was not a drug adict and of course they tested him and found Cocaine in his system. He did not want to be put in the drug rehab section of the hospital he wanted to be put in the mental health part of the hospital. He said it is too dificult being around all those other druggies for him it makes him crave the drugs more and then they all start pestering him to go out and find drugs! He is making tiny progress!!
He has agreed to go into a treatment program after he leaves the hospital but he may still have legal issues to deal with which always gets in the way of his treatment. The program we are hoping to take him to is so amazing. It is a two year residential treatment, where they eventually put them to work .they own several companies and they train the folks to work in their companies and thats what pays there room and board. They encourage them to get their GED and then enroll in their local college. They even help them get an apartment and car when they get out. Sounds perfect so maybe Justin is finally ready to change his life. He says he is. He says all that stuff about him being gay really REALLY bothered him and he says he can never let himself get like that again. Posted on 08/03/12, 12:38 pm |

I pray that everything goes well and that he continues to make progressive steps forward, one day at a time. The program sounds very promising. Usually the courts are willing to work with people who are truly doing what they can to get clean and sober. I pray he gets in and that he really likes it and gets all the benefits they have to offer. Good luck & God bless!!

It sounds like an incredible program. What an opportunity....as for the gay thing, I personally wouldn't care one way or another, as long as he learns to care for himself.
I hope he really can take advantage of this great resource! Happy for you.
