A few things are bothering me.

First thing, recalling it all:
It all started my freshman year of high school. On Halloween night a friend of one of my closest friends hung herself. She held on until Nov. 3, but she was brain-dead and her parents chose to take her off life support.
Twelve days later my friend (who for all intensive purposes I refer to as G) was found dead in her bedroom. She hung herself as well and died before the ambulance ever reached her house. It was a week before Thanksgiving.
As if it weren't bad enough, rumors began to swirl about a suicide pact, and the day after we found out about G more rumors began to circulate. Two days after she died hysteria set in and half the high school had been warned that someone had a gun and was planning a rampage. Nothing happened, but I was traumatized nonetheless.
That holiday season was extremely difficult for me, and every time November rolls around again I re-live the whole thing.
I can't even put into words the terror, the pain, or the shock. I think fall serves as a reminder that I'm never going to forget.

On another note:
I've read many discussions between those who have lost their loved ones to suicide. I dream of G periodically, usually every 3-4 nonths. One thing about my dreams is different in that G never talks, or if she does her words don't make any sense, and I can't hear her voice the way I can in my head if I try.
After reading descriptions of others' dreams, this has started to bother me. It was never something that I paid attention to before, but I'm starting to wonder if there's a specific reason she doesn't talk.
Anyway...thoughts/theories are appreciated.

" Hi ~ I too lost my best friend when I was a sophomore in HS. She died as a result of a car accident. For years, Oct.22nd was extremely difficult. Even in my twenties I would find myself agitated around this time of the year. I'm forty~two now. I'm not quite sure when, but Fall once my favorite time of the year, once again returned. I still think of her every year, even this past at the twenty seventh yr. I too have had dreams of her throughout the this journey, and the same as you, she never spoke.
Now, as an adult, I am more inclined to believe that when our loved ones appear in our dreams it's their way of letting us know that they are still very much around us.
I'm sorry to read that you've been through so much. We're all here for a reason and lessons that we must endure. It certainly doesn't help not knowing why but in time it will all be revealed. Continue to grow, learn, and live the life you were sent here to live!

" I lost my husband to suicide six months ago. I have had a few dreams of him and he didn't talk either, that I recall. I just had a dream about him a few days ago and we were in a restaurant together. He never spoke but he was smiling and very happy. Just before I woke up, I heard his voice over a cell phone but that's the only time I heard him speak. I don't know the answer to your question but I just thought you would like to know that I've had the same experience with dreams. Take care. "
