God help anyone who hast to endure this horror. It is a terrible fate. I prayed for my son before he was even born...throughout his life.. through all the things that bothered him..and nothing saved him from what appears to have been suicide. We will never know until we meet again in heaven.

This article I read just a few weeks after Vincent killed himself. It put a lot of things in perspective for me.

I read the same article and had the same reaction. In the wake of the tragedy, it seems the nation forgot to focus on the fact that it was a suicide....period. The circumstances and resulting fatalities aside, these young men set out that morning to commit suicide. Instead of focusing on that, the media instead chose to focus on the angle of high school bullying and school violence. I SO feel for the mother of both the gunmen. How many of us here can look back and feel the guilt of wondering what we could've seen or the signs we should've picked up on. Instead, we vilified the families of the gunmen. In our grief, IMAGINE if we were those shoes. Afraid to use our last names in public, afraid for our safety, on top of the grief, there was the guilt of multiple lives lost!?

Yes, suicide is much more in the news due to this terrible war. The awareness is definitely out but it saddens me to no end.
