I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 months about 3 days ago. An hour after we broke up, he attempted to cut himself and bleed to death, but he also slit his throat, and broke his neck. he was rushed to the hospital but died shortly after. i just cant belive that he's gone. sometimes, i dont cry and i can smile and laugh about things, but then all of a sudden, a start to cry. i try to talk to my friends about it, but they dont understand what im going through. "Like a sunset dying with the rising of the moon...gone too soon"

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Suicide changes our lives forever, and once you have lost someone this way nothing is ever the same.
I wish you strength and comfort as you work through this dark journey and I hope that you can find some comfort from this site, as I have.

I'm a survivor of my brother's suicide and the only piece of "advice" I can offer is that, no matter how much you loved him or cared for him, it had nothing to do with you. Repeat, THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!! It's not your fault! Regardless of what the trigger was, someone who is suicidal, without help, will go through with it eventually. My brother's suicide was impulsive although he did have signs in the past. I'm so sorry for your loss.
