Hey everyone.. I am here just so I can get the opinions on what you believe is right or wrong about euthanasia...
This is a topic I was given to write about for an english paper and basically I have no where to begin... I was hoping someone could give me their opinions on this topic since I have never been in this particular position... Thanks to anyone who can help. xx Posted on 05/06/09, 12:05 pm |

There is the commandment: Thou shall not kill. Nothing can transcend the law, unless that is you believe that love of one for another can transcend the law. If you believe that love is greater than the law, then euthanasia (a good death) is not only right, but a responsibility of all higher thinking individuals.
Notice where there is no law, such as with our pets, we have the courage to provide them with a good death out of our love for them.

It is always to hard to see people suffering horrible pain , and if someone has love in his hearth he or she should do anything to stop that great pain . But it is impossible to do that . And medicine is not working in all cases of pain . I think that euthanasia is a gift for humanity for to stop that horrible pain from people if they have deseases like cancer , and other terrible deathly illnes .

Maybe I'm wrong... And I'm writing as it comes to me. I didn't think this out first...
But whether they admit it or not, I think the biggest reason that people are against euthanasia, is selfishness. They don't want to feel pain, so instead they don't allow the other person to end their pain. I takes a ton of love, caring, compassion and selflessness (etc.) to be with someone as they end their life. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. The only thing I can imagine that would be harder, would be to continue to watch him in so much pain, with no quality of life left, knowing it was not his choice. To have to see him lose his dignity, along with everything else. I don't understand what about that, is a more attractive, or humane thing to do. Best wishes to all, in everything you do, and whatever choices you make.♥ -tmr
