Vitamins and Tryptophan

Hi All,
I am very happy to have found such a terrific support group! I have had ET for about five years, and have only recently really been bothered by it. I take Primidone (Mysoline) and it has always helped a lot. Lately though, I've been dealing with some extra stress in my life, and will have to accommodate that, I suppose, with some dosage changes. I'm curious about the types of vitamins that may help, and am thinking of trying Tryptophan soon. I assume we're talking about the B vitamins? I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!

" Yes, the B vitamins are essential for stress. I take a lot of vitamins in the B group, including Riboflavin. If you'd like more info. let me know. I noticed you're doing the DBS surgery in August. I won't consider that as an option. "

" I to acupuncture treatments & along with the vits. have noticed a difference. Occasionally I do a massage for the neck/shoulders to get rid of the stress/knots, which also come with my job. I've had ET since I was a little girl. Runs on my dad's side. My dad is now 88 and has them badly in the hands & lower jaw. His dad lived to be almost 93. My brother & daughter are both fine. My 19 yr. old son was diagnosed with them. His are mainly in the hands, but once in a great while his head/neck will twitch. We just need to deal with them the best we can. "

" i take a b-complex vitamin that seems to help. the only thing is that most vitamins can take up to 3 months for the body to learn how to absorb it fully. so be patient, but it's an easy thing to try. "

" Hello: I take B vitamins and it helps relax my nerves but I still have tremors. Also, because of side effects of Primidone my dr. switched me to Propranalol (which also has terrible side effects). I just recently started Xanax - really wipes me out. Also doing accupuncture. Just trying to find a treatment I can feel comfortable with. "
