Can anyone explain how/why this forum has suddenly gone from a discussion format to an advice format? And how is it decided which post goes into which category?? I've never seen this before, then suddenly there's a whole host of posts unseen before.

" I didn't even notice :-) I thought there was a time, when posting a new subject - that it asked you to pick a topic? I'm one of those people who doesn't notice anything. But, I don't think it'll change how we post. I've been posting probably 3 1/2 years here and they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Unless the rules change....I'm pretty good about following rules :-) "

" When I wanted to start a new topic the other day, the screen asked me to characterize my topic. One of my choices was ASK FOR ADVICE. My guess is that by choosing this category it puts your post into advice format. John "

" From what I can figure out dancingrama, there is a button at the top that you can push and there will be a whole bunch of questions that people ask. Then if you push on the general discussions, it's mostly people talking about what is going on, asking for different types of advice, etc.... I think the questions group don't get answered as often because most people post under the general discussion. When I posted, again, about my Barrett's and asked for your help, again, I did it under the old post from yesterday. But when I do a new post, I always go to the general posting. I hope I am making some semblance of sense here! It sure doesn't sound like it!!! :-) "
