i know most of not all of us have had a tough time wiv NHS. misdiagnosis, brushed aside, lied to etc.
iv been doing a bit of research into people wit epilepsy that went thru this and how they got it resolved. and they did this by going private.
it doesnt cost as much as u think. its only the operations that cost thousands. a consultation is like £240 aand an EEG if they need one is like £300. and u get a doctor that listens to u and wants to help u. worth the money i think :D

" Hi, I'm lucky if I get 1 appointment to see the Neurologist. Then when I see him he looks at my file and I am out in less than 5 minutes. Because they deal with so many patients they so not unerstand.

I spend more time seeing my GP or being taken to A&E after a seizurre. "

" i get exactly where ur coming from graeme500. i had that when my epilepsy was stabilised. the guy even used to pick fight with my mum when she expressed her concerns. he did iit to evvery patient that went in there.
thats y when my epilepsy got real bad 5 months ago, i wanted tto go to one of the best hospitals around for epilepsy. but theres just one problem. they turned out to be worse!!!! the lie to my facee, exploit my past to exuse my illness, take no notice of a diagnosis from any other doctor. contridict theirself. deny me medication bcz they dispute that i have it. even though iv had it my whole life. and i too have ended up in A+E many times recently bcz of this. i now have clonic siezures. very rare, but they can ggo on as long as they like. iv had ones lasting for 5 hours. i was in hospital at the time and they did nothing. just kept me in ovver night. again, no medicine "
