My husband is experiencing this type of seizure. He is afraid of them, especially that one will turn into a grand mal seizure. His tongue and head start to pull to one side. He says it happens at any time of day or night.

He grabs his tongue and pulls it back into place, and jerks his head in the opposite direction to what it's pulling to. They are happening more frequently as time goes by.

Does anyone have these? If so, what meds work for you. Are they available in generic? He doesn't have health insurance.

Any advice or comments would be welcome.

Thanks to all who read this!

" he should be getting some kind of health insurance. try applying for it again. the law has changed and he should get it faster . meds...keppra, lamictal, tegretol, neurotin, keppra is not in generic, but the others are. get with his neurologist. you need to get some kind of support until you can get that insurance which will cover his doctors and medical needs "

" My daughter has these and they sometimes do generalize into grand mals. It starts off by her eyes and head going to the left, if they don't generalize, she stays like that for a few seconds, but if they do, she starts convulsing. We can't get my daughter to reach therapeutic levels because of side effects so nothing is working for her. "
