I have many insecuritys though, when the time comes and he witnesses the seizure, I have no confidence and can not let my wall down and and new to dating w/seizure disorder. Anyone been in my shoes and how did you handle the first few months w/someone?

" If he's the "right guy," the seizures won't faze him a bit. When I began having serious seizures daily, my boyfriend (husband, now) was tremendously supportive. We used to joke about being joined at the hip, because if he was home, he'd go everywhere with me. He was very good to have around, and we've been married 17 years now... Concentrate your thoughts on what you do well - it'll work out IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF "

" Just take it as it goes if they leave you after you had a seizure than they the one insecure with themselves and embrassed to be seen with you the other is if they stay with you they can be using you for things like money and other things free sex. "

" When I meet people I too tell them about my Epilepsy and usually find that the girls can be shocked at seeing a seizure. I knew when diagnosed at 10 that people would not be interested in me. Only 4 have, still single and too have lost the confidence and I think I am one of the unlucky ones. "

" If he's right, then he'll understand and learn to cope with it just like any other friend or family member. I've been seizure free for a few months so my boyfriend hasn't had to see me have one yet. It makes me nervous but I know it wouldn't put any dents in our relationship... "
