HEY EVERYONE I HAVE HAD THE WORST SINUSES FOR YEARS AND SINUS INFECTIONS. I TAKE THE NASAL SPRAY IT HELPS A LITTLE. BUT MY LYMPHNOIDS IN MY NECK HURT ALL THE TIME LITERALLY. I MASSAGE THEN AND IT'S LIKE THEY STILL HURT, LAST NIGHT WAS THE WORSE EVER BECAUSE I TOOK A SHOWER AS SUGGESTED AND MASSAGED MY LYMPHNOIDS IN MY NECK UNTIL MY THROAT GOT REALLY SORE. MY THROAT IS STILL SORE AND I TOOK CLARITIN D, AND I STILL HAVE PAIN IN MY NECK AND HEADACHE.I JUST HATE SINUSES SOO MUCH. I JUST WANT SOME HELP ON DEALING WITH THEM BECAUSE MY FAMILY DOESN'T HAVE THEM AND DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN AND ANNOYANCE OF THEM. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR WEBSITES IS WELCOME PLEASE!! BECAUSE RIGHT NOW I WISH I COULD TAKE MY SINUSES OUT OF MY NECK AND HEAD AND CHOP THEM UP AND BURN THEM. SERIOUSLY. =(
I WAS SOO HAPPY TO FIND A SUPPORT GROUP TO UNDERSTAND. I HATE THE WINTER TIME BECAUSE IT'S LIKE IT'S WORSE. IT'S LIKE I CAN'T BREATHE THAT GOOD FROM MY NECK IT'S LIKE I CAN'T REALLY BREATHE. I AM JUST ANNOYED WITH THEM. I AM NOT SURE WHAT I AM ALLERGIC TOO IS IT SMOKE OR CIGARETTS OR IS IT DUST. I HAVE A HUMIDIFYER BUT IT'S LIKE THEY STILL ARE BAD SINUSES. HELP PLEASE!!! - Posted on 10/18/09, 01:10 am |

Could you possibly have chemical sensitivities, or chronic fatigue syndrome? Both groups here on DS are very helpful and supportive.

If your lymph nodes are swollen, Claritin D is not going to help much. This sounds like an infection that you should see a doctor about.
I was having a severe problem for several years, and went to several docs. The most recent one tried new anitbiotics, oral and nasal steroids. This has settled things down well enough for surgery to open up the sinuses. I thought it was just allergies, but it really was a chronic infection.
